DESCRIPTION:
The REMstar Auto M Series with C-Flex is an ideal flow-based
Smart CPAP. Its Proactive Algorithm looks for and adjusts to your
needs based on optimal and critical pressure levels. When combined
with Encore Pro software, you can track events like snoring, elevated
leak levels and apnea/hypopnea. Add that to a host of other great
features, and it’s easy to see why REMstar Auto with C-Flex

A-Flex: A New Dimension in Sleep Therapy Comfort.
A-Flex technology utilizes our patented Digital Auto-Trak™
Sensitivity to distinguish between exhalation and inhalation. During
exhalation, A-Flex provides variable expiratory pressure relief
that is the same as our clinically proven C-Flex™ technology.
During inhalation, A-Flex also provides inspiratory comfort that
varies with the patient's pressure level. The result is a pressure
pattern that matches the patient's entire breathing cycle. Like
C-Flex, there are three patient-selectable A-Flex settings to make
therapy more personal.
For you, the addition of A-Flex to our Flex Family of pressure
relief technologies means that every patient can enjoy more comfortable
and effective therapy. In fact, you may never deal with ordinary
constant pressure therapy again.
REMstar Auto M Series with A-Flex:
A-Flex is delivered by our clinically proven auto algorithm that
maintains effective therapy at minimal pressures making this combination
even better for patients. The REMstar Auto M Series with A-Flex
represents an amazing new chapter in pressure therapy. Not only
does it make each breath more comfortable at inhalation and exhalation,
the REMstar Auto also adjusts overall therapy to accommodate the
patients therapy needs due to changes in lifestyle or progression
of disease state.
A-Flex is a comfort feature built on top of the REMstar Auto algorithm.
If breathing events occur, the auto algorithm raises the A-Flex
pressure profile to eliminate those events, while simultaneously
making sure that pressure never rises to a level thats unnecessarily,
and uncomfortably, high.
Please Note: The M-Series machines utilize an external power supply.
This power supply is very similar to that of a laptop power cord
with a small, external transformer. .
Replacement
Filters
 
Filters for the M-Series CPAP Machines should be replaced
on a regular schedule which will reduce the amount of bacteria and
alergens from being introduced into your CPAP circuit. Most CPAP
Machines require a Poly Foam Filter which may be washed and re-used.
Additionally, many machines a secondary filter which is disposable.
DC
Power (Cigarette Lighter Adapter)
The M Series DS100 equipped with a DC plug on the back of the unit.
This allows the user to connect the CPAP to an external DC battery
source.
Using a Respironics, 12volt DC Power Cord the M Series DS100 can
be powered by plugging into a cigarette lighter plug. This is ideal
for long trips in the car, truck or on a boat which has a cigarette
lighter plug.

The complete DC Power system for the Respironics Legacy and M-Series
CPAP Machines. This system includes the cigarette lighter adapter
and direct connections for a 12V power source.

Battery Pack
Respironics has met the needs of customers by providing a Battery
Pack which allows CPAP patients to remain active and outgoing. It
weighs in at 13 lbs. and can be carried easily with its shoulder
strapThis battery pack will provide approximately 26 hours of use,
depending on the cpap pressure setting. (Results may vary.)
* The Respironics Battery Pack must be charged with a standard
A/C power source. This unit can be charged at voltages ranging from
115v – 230v.
