Did you know that there is only one animal known to suffer from sleep apnea? Any guesses?
It's the English Bulldog!
Likely due to its short snout and shallow respiratory tract, the Bulldogs are known to snore and breathe heavily during sleep - common symptoms of sleep apnea. Very little is known about the sleep cycles of animals, but it is quite possible that more than the Bulldog suffer from sleep disorders or apneas.
